17th Annual COPD Education Day, “Emerging with Aloha,” was a success as a hybrid event–at Queen’s Conference Center as well as via zoom. Topics included “Mythbusters–Q&A to get down to real facts about COPD,” Should I Stay or Should I Go?–Traveling safely with COPD, Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Exercise, and Advanced Techniques and Therapies in the Treatment of COPD. Exhibitors presented and free bento lunches were at Queen’s Conference Center for attendees! Parking map is here!
Starting in January, 2023, we have also been holding zoom and in-person support group meetings at Straub Library, 888 S. King Street, in basement, down the hall from the Straub Lung Center, Strode-Milnor wing, see map. They continue to be held 2nd Fridays, 10-noon, HST. More details will be on calendar, www.hawaiicopd.org. There were lots of meetings at Right2Breathe.org and on the calendar of www.hawaiicopd.org, some of which are archived.
