Thank you very much for your donations! 🙂
In Hawaii, over 46,000 adults are diagnosed with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), which includes emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and chronic asthma. Over 15 million in the US have COPD– the 3rd leading cause of death and the 2nd leading cause of disability. Long time tobacco smoke and/or long time exposure to inhaled irritants are major causes of COPD
Your contributions help provide programs and resources whose aim is to increase awareness of COPD and improve care for those with the condition. You help provide professional development for MDs, RNs, RTs, PharmDs, and more; local and national advocacy on prevention and services; resources at www.hawaiicopd.org; monthly support group meetings at several locations for patients, caregivers and healthcare providers; and our annual COPD Education Days. Your donations help us reach more people. Mahalo nui loa for helping us work toward better breathing for all!
